HAPPY CANADA DAY

Happy Canada Day to all our friends at home and abroad. James got home early this morning from Toronto. Even thought he was jet lagged he went with us to the Canada Day party in Beatrix Park. We were small in number but large in spirit. We had a Norwegian, American and a Dutchie celebrating with us. We set up a picnic in the park on the canal so that we could watch the boats cruize by. Jack met a little girl Latisse who's mommy is from Etobicoke. She's that cutie in the pink dress. Such a bee-utiful child. We have some play dates set up with her and Althea. Jack played soccer with James and Zephyr and then he went over to the other side of the park to visit the wading pool and sandbox. Zephyr had a nice snooze under the tree - after eating Latisse's ham sandwich. Had some beer and wine and other things. The weather is so hot here and I think we might have a bit of heat stroke from being in the sun all day. But the appartment is nice and cool and we were having a wee siesta before dinner. We need our rest, we are celebrating the 4th of July tomorrow with some Americans from Jack's school. Woo hoo!
